Fortnite Can Now Run At 120fps

In some of iPads are now ready to take the update for runs Fortnite Mobile in 120 FPS. The iPad Pro can now run Fortnite at 120 frames per second by Derek McKinney Posted on January 19, 2020 Epic Games has just released an update for the iOS version of Fortnite that unlocks a niche-but-cool feature if you have the hardware to support it: a 120 frames per second mode for the latest (2018) iPad Pro.
Microsoft officially ended their backward compatibility programme for Xbox One around this time last year, adding one final batch of games to the line up. All of those games will also be supported by Series X, but Microsoft note in this new post that they will start considering new titles to dig out and re-release despite technical and licensing difficulties.

Ray tracing support Ray tracing support that's real time and hardware accelerated "for the first time ever", according to Microsoft ( Digital Foundry on the current state of ray tracing tech if you're looking for more background info.) In brief, the hardware acceleration means "Series X can effectively Fortnite mobile 120fps tap the equivalent of well over 25 TFLOPs of performance while ray tracing." There is some context to be considered with that, but in Rich's words: "Xbox Series X is capable of delivering the most ambitious, most striking implementation of ray tracing - and it does so in real time.
Variable refresh rate technology allows the GPU in a console or PC to control the refresh rate of the TV or monitor it's connected to. The problems that happen when frame rate and refresh rate are out of sync disappear because the screen and the GPU are never out of sync.

Thanks to the latest iOS update for Fortnite, Epic Games' massive multiplayer shooter can now run at 120 FPS on iPad Pro Fortnite is one of the biggest games on the planet right now, and rightfully so, it gets huge updates on a regular basis to keep the game fresh, balanced, and full of content.
This allows the iPad to dynamically adjust display refresh rate up to 120Hz. The iPad Pro (2018 release) now supports 120 FPS. When we weren't recording the screen, we noticed the iPhone 11 Pro maintaining the 60FPS rate, with only the occasional drop down to 57 or so.
Play games with your friends and explore countless community creations. If 120 Hz refresh rate is enabled on the One X, resolution will be limited to 1080p for most TVs or 1440p for screens that support this resolution. However, it's important to note that enabling the mode does come at a cost, as the resolution and visual settings for Fortnite get dropped down to "medium" when 120fps mode is activated.

Games may still struggle to achieve consistent 120 fps frame rates, but they may produce frame rates that fall between 120 fps and the current 60 fps limit. It is now possible to enjoy a framerate of 120 images per second in the Ipad Pro (2018) version of Fortnite.
I've played a lot on my iPad Pro and I noticed a drastic difference in graphic quality after this update. Yes, players on the 2018 iPad Pro will now be able to enjoy the hit battle royale title in glorious 120 FPS and people are pretty torn on the matter. Here's a list of games that can supports higher frame rate (and, consequently, higher refresh rate screens).
