The PvE Save the World mode isn't in this version, but that mode isn't the current appeal of Fortnite anyway. Fortnite is an ever-shifting entity, but strong footing has solidified it as a verified phenomenon with fast, fun gameplay and ubiquitous reach.

In the first two modes, LEONATOR players can use their pickaxe to knock down existing structures on the map to collect basic resources that are wood, brick, and metal.
With all modes of Fortnite still considered to be early access, journalists have yet to provide comprehensive reviews of any mode. This is to allow ten weeks of challenges to be completed so that players can finish off their Battle Pass and unlock all cosmetics.
